The first viruses came out in the mid 1980, it is thought that the first antivirus systems came out at that time because nobody claim that he has invented them. Anti-virus softwares are used to prevent, detect and remove malware such as viruses, worms, trojan horses spyware and adware. Usually there are different varieties of strategies for scanning your files and detecting the malware. Mainly are 3 the antivirus strategies: Signature-based detection, Heuristics, Root kit detection. However, it is possible for a computer to be infected with new malware for which no signature is yet known. Unfortunately no matter how useful an antivirus software can be, sometime it may have drawbacks.

As said in the the video there are no actual viruses for mac so there is no need for one but any way I recommend PC or Mac Keeper which other than just working as an antivirus it also help you to clean you Mac or Pc.
